This is a short film produced as a media project by students of Forest Gate Community School in East London. Kambani Arts guided the ideas of students through a structured school based project resulting in a compelling feature.
Synopisis
Bullying Expelled is a story about Gary and Annabel. Gary is a troubled teenager traumatised by his mother’s untimely death from drug use when he was 13. Anabel is a bright young student determined to stand up for herself.
Gary is bright but rebellious, often finding himself in trouble for trying to fill the void left in his life by doing the wrong things. He got expelled from his school for bullying and his father moved him to a new school for a fresh start. But he failed to stay out of trouble, picking on Annabel because she looked like his mother.
He slapped her around and was summoned to the head teacher where he was reprimanded. There was double trouble for Gary as he realised that one of his ex-victims was the head teacher’s son. Annabel sussed this out, did some research and uncovered his past. Gary gets expelled again, the lesson – Bullying will be expelled.
