The Hard Way

The Hard Way is a film sponsored by the Big Lottery’s Awards for All small grants programme and made with support from members of the Barnfield Community Project in Greenwich.  It brought together a diverse section of the community, both young and old. The project also received generous support from Plumcroft Primary School in Plumstead courtesy Richard Slade – Headteacher.
Synopsis
The hard way tells the story of Will and the ordeal he faced when he changed schools. He witnessed Michelle, a gang leader, being abused by her father. Michelle bullies Will to stop him grassing on her but the bullying gets too much and makes Will attempt suicide which goes badly wrong. This serves as a wake up call for Michelle as she is overcome with guilt.
The film is dedicated to Leonard Jack, project co-organiser who passed away in 2019.
