Images of Africa

Images of Africa was Kambani Arts first art sourcing exhibition. It took place at the Alliance Française Language and Cultural Centre in Enugu, Nigeria in 2004 as plans were underway to launch Kambani Arts in the UK in preparation for Africa 05.
Over 40 artists took part with nearly 100 works presented. There was a judging panel held to select the most striking pieces, the top three artists receiving a cash prize, courtesy the executive governor of the state. Support in kind was offered by Alliance Francaise, in particular Gerard Chouin, Directeur.
The event was a success and made a big impact on two major art colleges – University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT) which also has a fine and applied arts department.
