Expressions

Expressions was a touring exhibition of visual arts and children’s creative writing that took place in Nigeria in 2006. Over 170 artists took part, most of them university students. Children were from public sector schools. The tour covered three cities – Lagos, Abuja and Enugu and was the subject of the documentary – ‘Voices of the Unheard’ which explored the lives of 6 under-represented artists on life’s journey of art. There tour was a partnership between Kambani Arts and the National Gallery of Art, Nigeria. There were a number of supporters for the tour. These included The BBC, British Council, DFID, Alliance Francaise, Cadbury, Protea Hotels, Silverbird TV, Nike Galleries, Tula Clothing and Aki Digital.
