Chike Obeagu is a multi-talented leading contemporary artist in Nigeria. He finds creative expression through painting, photography, installation art and poetry, using them as mediums to comment on social and political issues. He has a BA and MA in Fine Arts.
Chike has taken part in many international residency programmes and has won several awards over the years. His work can be found in public and private art collections internationally. He has taken part in Art Expo New York; La Biennale di Venezia, Venice, Italy; Dakar Biennale; Emerging Trends, Miami; Experimental Frontiers Cape Town, South Africa; Visual Art Festival, Atlanta USA; Changing Faces of Africa, Liverpool; among many.
Chike currently lectures in visual and creative arts at the Federal University of Lafia, Nigeria. He is studying for a PhD at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria.
