Morenikeji Olumide has a Bachelor’s degree in art, majoring in painting. Since graduating he has focused on his studio practice as a full-time artist and also engaged in a series of artistic research projects that has led to new discoveries. One such discovery was the use of traditional African methods which made him consider possible traditional ways of creating art by exploring the Yoruba Proverbs, Folk tale, and adages.
He has been part of many major shows and exhibitions within and outside Nigeria. He was the lead youth workshop facilitator for Kambani’s Mirror the Master art tour in Nigeria. He is based in Lagos Nigeria, blessed with a wife and children.
